Spelt Honey and Almond Scones
Description
Naturally sweetened and full of flavour, these scones are made with wholegrain spelt flour, honey, and toasted almonds. Easy to prepare and ideal for breakfast or snacking.
Ingredients
250 g, Wholegrain Spelt Flour

Preheat Oven: Set oven to 200°C (fan 180°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.

Add Butter: Rub diced butter into the flour mix with fingertips until it resembles breadcrumbs.

Add Honey and Almonds: Stir in honey and chopped almonds.

Add Liquid: Pour in yoghurt and vanilla (if using). Mix gently into a soft dough.

Shape the Dough: Turn onto a lightly floured surface. Pat into a 2.5 cm thick round. Cut into 8 wedges or use a cutter.

Top and Bake: Place on tray. Brush with milk and honey mix. Bake for 18 minutes or until golden.

Cool and Serve: Let cool slightly before serving.
