Preheat Oven: Heat to 200°C (fan 180°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.

Rub in Butter: Add diced cold butter. Use your fingertips to rub until it resembles breadcrumbs.

Add Flavourings: Stir in cranberries, orange zest, and sugar or honey.

Add Liquid: Pour in yoghurt and vanilla. Mix gently with a spoon until just combined.

Shape: Turn dough onto a floured surface. Pat into a 2.5 cm thick round. Cut into 8 wedges or use a round cutter.

Top and Bake: Place on tray. Brush with milk and sprinkle with sugar if using. Bake for 18 minutes until golden.
