Spelt Maple Pecan Scones
Description
Naturally sweet and lightly nutty, these scones use wholegrain spelt flour, toasted pecans, and maple syrup. Soft, quick, and satisfying.
Ingredients
250 g, Wholegrain Spelt Flour

Preheat Oven: Heat oven to 200°C (fan 180°C). Line a baking tray with parchment.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.

Add Butter: Rub in cold butter with fingertips until the mix looks like breadcrumbs.

Add Pecans & Sweetener: Stir in chopped toasted pecans and maple syrup.

Add Liquid: Pour in yoghurt and vanilla. Mix gently until a soft dough forms.

Shape Dough: Tip onto a floured surface. Pat into a 2.5cm thick round. Cut into 8 wedges or use a cutter.

Top and Bake: Brush tops with milk/maple mix if using. Bake for 18 minutes until golden.

Cool and Serve: Let cool slightly. Serve warm or room temp.
